How to send a fax online

You need a PDF and the recipient’s fax number. The rest happens in your browser.

Steps

  1. Get your document into a PDF. Most word processors can export one. For paper, see how to fax from your phone.
  2. Open FaxTheWeb and choose the PDF. We check the file and count the pages.
  3. Pick the destination country and type the fax number. You can add a cover page with a name and a short note.
  4. Check the total and pay once. The price is shown in US dollars before you pay. There is no subscription.
  5. Follow the status link. It shows queued, sending, delivered or not delivered, and we email you when it finishes.

What “delivered” means

Delivered means the receiving fax system accepted the transmission. It does not confirm that a person read it or that an office accepted it as an official filing. If the recipient needs proof for a deadline, ask them to confirm receipt.

Before you send

If it fails

If we confirm a fax could not be delivered, we refund a single fax. See refunds and failed faxes for the full rules, including what happens when a fax is only partly sent.
